One of the first (test) photos taken on my E-P2 with my new/old 50mm OM-System Zuiko lens that I scored off eBay. Received it in the mail really quickly but had to wait a while for the adaptor which fits any old Olympus OM lens to a Micro 4/3 camera. This was/is my way of trying out the manual focus on a proper lens before possibly spending big bucks on the newer fully compatible M.Zuiko digital lenses. Really happy with it and having a lot of fun playing around with it. The depth of field is a-mazing, at least it is compared to the default kit lens that came with the camera. Also there is just something nice about the quality of picture that comes from this kind of lens, even when coupled with a digital camera. The only draw back is the crop factor is quite large (x2) due to the size of the lens and the camera sensor. Basically meaning I have to stand back a fair distance from my subject than what I normally would, although on the flip side I guess it also means I can photograph further away things without having to walk up so close to it. Can’t wait to try it out over Christmas and New Years.
